The Tambass Fleet
The Tambass fleet consists of a 21' Mako and 23' Sea Craft center console located in Stamford and Greenwich, Connecticut. Each boat is rigged and ready to personally put you on fish. With open walk around space, come aboard and comfortably fish with our professional anglers. The Tambass center consoles allow captains and crew to fish the various depths and distances of Long Island Sound. We can run and gun fish at high speed and get into tight shallow water spots with drafts under one foot. Tambass takes pride in the care each vessel receives. Our fleet is fully equipped with all U.S.C.G. regulated safety equipment and is mechanically inspected before and after every trip. We look forward to welcoming you aboard and putting you on the fish.
Tambass Vessel #1
Make: Mako, Center Console
Length: 21' 7"
Fuel: 86 Gallons
Power: 225 HP Yamaha Saltwater Series
More than 45 years ago, MAKO Boats made its mark on the saltwater fishing world with the introduction of a line of boats crafted with care, concern and top-of-the-line equipment, all geared toward saltwater anglers. Fishermen lauded their smooth, dry rides, durable construction and amazing lists of fishing features, as well as the ability to provide a stable, safe fishing platform in the toughest of conditions.
Our Mako is powered by a completely rebuilt Yamaha powerhead. With a top speed of 40 MPh, the Mako puts out 235 horsepower. With a cruising speed of 28 MPH at 4000 RPM, this boat plains for a smooth and stable ride in a head on sea. Its original 1988 Deep-V fiberglass hull is heavy, making it the ideal boat to cut through the waves and take on Long Island Sound weather. In addition to cruising and deep water, with only a 10" draft we can fish the flats and extremely shallow structured spots where few boaters can go.
This Mako has been updated for 2015 with a brand new 85 gallon aluminum fuel tank and new ethanol rated fuel lines. Our Mako receives exceptional care and delivers outstanding performance. The completely redone onboard fuel system will allow us to run clean treated fuel through a new system of inline filters for max efficiency and output. With ample walk-around room, fishing aboard the Mako is easy and comfortable. We look forward to getting you on the water, and a fish on the line this season!
